Well, After he delivered his famous "Lost Speech" here in Bloomington in 1854, the Republican Party was born in Illinois. There is much legend surrounding the speech, but I tend to think it contained a glimpse into the 1970's when the Republicans began to lose their souls. Thank you all for your comments!
Waltzing in a bit late here. Sorry. Kudos nonetheless.
But really Gary, there is an initial serenity about the look and feel of this, and then, when I read it, I realize it isn't serenity, it's depression that I get. Wow, how appropriate to Lincoln.
Thanks everyone!! I wanted to remind everyone the Lincoln's Bicentennial will be February 2009! Isn't is fitting that Obama is likely to be in the White House during that time?!!
Lincoln, a great, but truly flawed man will be resurrected in ways that could not be imagined in 1909.

And And John "Slappy-Pants" McCain made him do it?

He's my hero...........most of the time.
Matt, yes......with some funding we could start in Manhattan!
L'il Mu! what is that lady trying to make you do?......Oh, I know her!

Good, strong, & disturbing political art.
