Since World AIDS Day, 1 December 2010, falls on a Wednesday this year, I thought I would use the entire week to bring attention to the event. Every day, from Monday to Friday, I'll be publishing a different World AIDS Campaign (WAC) city poster that I created by uploading my own photographs into a template available at the WAC website. I customized each poster to represent a separate geographic area to highlight the fact that AIDS continues to be a global pandemic.
So to begin the series and the week, I start off with the city I live in, Montreal, where each year, the Black & Blue Festival, the world's largest gay-benefit dance festival, attracts thousands of tourists during Canadian Thanksgiving weekend to raise money for HIV/AIDS and the gay community. It is organized annually by the Bad Boy Club Montréal (aka BBCM and Fondation BBCM).
Raise awareness and create your own World AIDS Day poster here.
