Bio
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and then go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." By Harold Thurman Whitman. What lights me up is my work as a psychotherapist, and my passion for writing. Thank you to my family and friends, those within shouting distance and those who are virtual for sticking by me through the highs and the lows. An Open Letter

Rate: 2 Flag

I wrote a post last night for my blog on the Psychology Today website — maybe this is cheating, but I wanted to share it with everyone here on OS.  I think it's kind of special.  Sort of the things I wish I had known along the way:

Here's the first paragraph:

The words contained in this letter are the words I would say to my patients about mental illness and recovery and much of what goes along with these from my experience — if I had complete freedom to disclose what I've endured and discovered .

 And the link:

Thanks for reading.

Gerri, great to see a new post here by you and that's a powerful and very instructive piece you wrote for Psychology Today! Sorry to read all that you went through over the years, but I know everything is so much better today! Your story also reminded me that author Eric Jaffe also has written many articles for Psychology Today. He had contacted me about a story on Providence back in '08, etc.
Thank's designanator. It's nice to know that something positive was the result when I finally got through it all. (FYI - it's not an article in the Psychology Today print magazine - it's a post on my weekly blog - "From Both Sides of the Couch" - on their website.)

That was a terrific piece, Gerri. It should be printed and posted in every therapist's office.
Thanks Cranky. That means a lot to me.
This is an fantastic Louis Vuitton Handbags that you will not at any time overlook and it has been produced of a white leather-based duly monogrammed. Its form is square with two rolled leather handles at the best rated. The dimension is fifteen.four x 12.seven. The entrance of the Louis Vuitton handbag has a pleat as efficiently as in the back again. The opening element is bordered with a easy leather ribbon backlink with the coats that protect the corners, this decoration can make the corners greater than the center. A golden brass eyelet is connected to every single corner more than the coat and under it there is a crease with a button on it from Louis Vuitton Outlet. The bottom has a rounded corner kind but the corners are also coated with the similar content as the higher corners, but with a diagonal stitched.
