My grandfather, Calabrese, would have been content having pasta seven days a week. (As long as he could have steak one or two of those days.) My grandmother, Sicilian, maintained that she didn't like pasta. Then, after my grandfather died, she kept cooking it for herself. I've got their genes. And I'm damn glad of it!
