"Freedom of the press is guranteed only to those who own one."
A.J. Liegling.
We have the press we deserve, not the press w need."
Senator Keith Davey
If I wanted to add one of my own quotes, it would be the that "our corprate rulers don't need concerntration camps to imprison our minds."
I've been trying for years to convince the various groups, who excercise effective control over the left that the most important war they are now fighting-is the war of words. It is a contest for the minds and hearts of the people. If we lose that, war, than all our other struggles-for jobs, for fair wages, for equality, for adequate social programs will be futile.
Our corporate rules own thr presses, They own the private radio and television networks and through their politacal minions, excercise control over the people.
They also do frequent polling to ensure that their propaganda is having the desired effect. That is why it does not bother them when the unions and their coalitions allies with months of time and effort-manage to get 100,000 people out for a one-day protest. They know that four out of five Amerians including most union members remain safely brainwashed.
