True Words to Live By…

Rate: 9 Flag

Stop thinking so much about tomorrow and start living in the moment today! There are a lot of amazing opportunities, but if you are too busy thinking all about what you want to do next; you are going to completely miss out on them! Timing is everything, so make sure you are living in the present along with everyone else. The past is done with, and the future will be coming soon enough. It's time to just worry about what you're doing today.

Morning in Georgia

Here’s to a new day!

The picture was taken along the Savannah River at a church retreat in Beech Island, SC

So true, thanks for the reminder. I have been a worrier for most of my life but am trying to get that under control and live for the moment, appreciate the moment, love the moment.

It has taken me a lot of practice to do it, but I keep trying!
Good advice! I'm in the moment, today! I would love to be on that pier, right now!

I should send this to a niece. Just when I would be taking her somewhere for something fun to do, she ALWAYS wanted to know what we're doing tomorrow. Drove me crazy!

Great serene, thoughtful post, George! Thank you.
George, I think maybe the bad economy is forcing people to do just that-- a silver lining. Since I closed my studio, it's what I've been doing.
George, thanks for the reminder to live in the present moment. My husband and I were listening to Eckhart Tolle and this is his definition of success. To live in the now. Wow, I find it so hard to do, but when I do so fulfilling.
Love it ...

:) Great reminder to keep it all in perspective!
I was just thinking along these lines just today....so true, George.....it's like missing a shooting star because you are too busy looking down worrying about tomorrow. We miss the special moments that we can never reclaim......I am happy now for so many things and I will relish them this second....this minute....because NOW is my reality because I can't predict the future...nor would I want to.
Thank you for this.
Words I needed to read today.
PS-Beautiful picture as well.
Good points.
Hey, GMG How did you overcome the seemingly required font for the Sans Sarif font. Is that Helvetica? How did you accomplish that?
A beautiful nudge, George. It reminds me I need to go back and re-read Brother Lawrence. Thanks!
Thanks to all for your comments. Sometimes we need to just sit back and live the moment... then move on with renewed awareness.

Michael, thanks for the reminder of Brother Lawrence. I, too, will read his 'practice of patience'.
