I just watched "Food, Inc." (100% recommended) and Monsanto came across as badly as any corporation possibly could have come across. With their legions of lawyers suing anything that moves, one can only imagine a kind of international action against the corporation, seizing it bodily while the head is sawed off.
Especially damning is Monsanto's practice of suing farmers for saving seed -- as they have done for thousands of years. Not saving Monsanto's GMO Frankenfood seed, but just plain seed. With enough lawsuits and enough legal fees, innocent seed savers ("There used to be three in every county") and farmers are forced to sign dubious out-of-court settlements with Monsanto.
The government? Fast asleep. Fast asleep. Don't trouble yourself. The revolving door between industry and government spins constantly, it seems.
The point of the movie was to support organic farming and to buy locally. I'm not sure that I'll ever eat another fast food burger. An astounding film. I wish there was a national referendum you could vote for -- my suggestion would be "BURN MONSANTO THE GROUND AND EXECUTE THEIR EXECUTIVES AND SCIENTISTS". Evil through and through. Imagine the concept of patenting food. And who do you imagine wrote a key piece of legislation? Pre-Supreme-Court Clarence Thomas.
This movie did nothing to disturb my conviction that the whole of the government is shot through from top to bottom with corruption.

The fact that they must protect their intrests is in the intrest of the greater good. What's evil is this organic craze, which will lead to lower yields and greater spread of pests and disease.
And hunger.
And death.
Montanto rules.
Oh, by the way, Monsanto corn is rumored to have a memory generating enzyme that can alter perception and even deep seated beliefs. I'll believe it when I see it. Mmmm...corn.
Rated.
Monsanto has a history of greed, corruption, and manufacturing products and chemicals which are hazardous to humans. Do your research people. Don't be lemmings for Monsanto by purchasing any of their products. Hopefully someone or some group will be brave and smart enough to rise up and destroy this evil company and it's evil executives and scientists before it is too late. Hopefully some country or group will have their missiles aimed directly at Monsanto headquarters and plants across the world. Only then can we all celebrate life as it was given to us by God, unadulterated and imperfect in nature.
