Obama Forever
At first, Obama thought that a constitutional amendment retroactively extending presidential tenure from four to eight years would be enough, but fellow lawyer, Ms. Obama, thought that it would be even better to leave the tenure open-ended, so that an incumbent president could hang in the White House ad lib, not to mention ad nauseum. Just think of the parties the couple could have, the trips they could take, the links he could play, etc.
The serious side of all of this is Obama's recent remark to the effect that he had five more years to accomplish some of the objectives he promised would be accomplished well before now.
Once again, Obama has demonstrated his insensitivity not only to the U.S. electorate but also to human nature in general for the truth is that no one likes a braggart and no one likes to be taken for granted. We won't even get into the public's love of a liar and a cheat.
Now that this year's election is a mere formality, let's hope that Obama will open his gigantic war chest (that he has spent time that the public might reasonably have expected to be devoted to their welfare amassing) and distribute its bounty to the poor and underprivileged. Of course, now that he doesn't need their votes, why bother?

In fairness, I felt the same way when Dub'yah got all high falutin' in the months leading up to the election of 2004. The sonofabitch kept saying how he wasn't going to lose. And he didn't, thanks to the AG of Ohio.
And the beat goes on....
Also, well done in 220 words.

And then, there's that funny stuff that transpired, such that the Iranian's freed to hostages, the day after mr. morning in american was elected.
Gotta give it to the republican's - they have a lock on ways to circumvent the electoral "system."
I have to grant you this, Gordon, obama IS the biggest liar to occupy the office in my lifetime, and for that, a first, I rate one of Gordon's posts.
