Obama’s Operatic Approach to American Security
Taking a page from Puccini’s Turandot, Obama has adopted a “stance” regarding Benghazigate that is absolutely operatic in its melodramatic twists and turns.
Ping—the Benghazi massacre was an act of terrorism. He didn’t say that in the Rose Garden, but let’s humor his apologists (including the terminally ignorant PJOR) by saying he did.
Pang—the Benghazi massacre was a case of video criticism gone awry.
This fiction was all over the airwaves for days.
Pong—yeah, I guess it was an act of terrorism. Who knew?
Of course, who knew is basically everyone except the senile Clapper, who should have been sent out to pasture long ago when he demonstrated his epic inability to keep up with current events. But he is apparently the slim reed, not Reid, that Obama’s functionaries will cling to in making their dishonest public pronouncements, now disowned.
Even dedicated Democrats, like Diane Feinstein, are going to keep this pot aboil right up until Election Day. The notion that the scandal is over is wishful thinking worthy of Disney.
