I must say quite a few of you have noticed that mondays are not my favorite day of the week. Maybe becuase i rest so much during the weekend that i am not ready for it to end? HeII who knows but i do know i have never been a fan of mondays.
When i was a young rambler i did not want the weekend to end. I knew monday was going to be a start of a new week....AT SCHOOL. I'm sure this is why i started to hate mondays right out of the barrel.
As a responsible adult now, i have grown to detest mondays even more. I know earlier as a youth the reason was obvious, well for some. But as an adult I should be looking forward to a productive week, getting things done in hopes of returnng to Emerald Isle where i can be lazy again, if but only for a few days.Could it be that i hate mondays becuase i am lazy, one might think ? Well let's look at it from that P.O.V.
I started working when i was 9 years old in the fields of tobacco and did so up to the age of 15. When i moved on from cropping, i went on into the wonderful world of working with the public in a place that was once called Pepperoni's. I worked in the back, cooking, cleaning, dishes, whatever needed doing i wanted to do it. so i guess Lazy cannot be blamed there. I was living at home and had no responsibilities at the time and just wanted to work. As time went on more responsibilites would progress towards me. Car payments, insurance, gas money, dates..etc..i actually needed money then but i did not mind working to achieve it. After my years of being a teen age stud rambler of CHS, i went into the construction field of work and did so for a lil over 20 years. Metal roof installation, then onto oversees. If you never have worked on a metal roof in the summer days of North Carolina, you can see why one would not call me lazy at this point in my life. So i am sure Lazy can be counted out.
Now i have a job where i oversee construction and do consulting and observations, surveys and sometimes actual construction itself. I love my job and Often look forward to coming into work becuase the atmospehere is addiciting. times are a tad slow here at the moment so when that happens i can surf the web..whatever. The present job i have does not make me NOT want to come to work but on the contrary. it makes me look forward to a new work week.
So why is it i cannot stand mondays????
I'll Be Danmed iffin I Know....
