Yesterday was and today is going to be very busy. This is when my mettle is really tested. Last night I was laying on the floor of the living room at 10:30 p.m., after a very long and full day of activity, and realized I hadn't yet done yoga for the day. So right where I was, I just started doing a restorative series. Fifteen minutes or so later, I was in shavasana, and felt very relaxed. It was a good thing. It wasn't the length of the sequence, it was the fact I completed a practice for the day.
Today is another crazy day, and I'll likely have to wait to do yoga until the evening. I've found that I prefer yoga in the morning, when I can really relax into it and find my footing for the day. I find that I can work through any soreness and create a place of balance and harmony in my body. In the evening, I tend to create more soreness for myself, which at this point might be counter-productive. However, tomorrow night is my favorite teacher's class, and I'm looking forward to that.
Anyway, can't spend much more time here because I have to get to it. But blogging my yoga here is a commitment that I'm planning on keeping with myself, so here I am, and here I go.
