Its a week after Easter -

Rate: 2 Flag

Its a whole week after Easter - Most of the colored eggs and candy have managed to disapear.  A large group of us seem to be able to find a nice church service to attend on Easter - ah spring is in the air - one can taste it.

So, what happens to us?  Do we forget where our church is the rest of the year?  Not that attending has any more merits one way or the other - that not where this is going.

My question is this: Why does religion feel so right when I feeling so wrong? or Why does my religion feel so wrong when Ifeel so right?

This is why I avoid religion and it's dogma. Life and faith is enough of a challenge.
I think the problem isn't a lack of faith in God many times, but disappointment in people, when we feel right, but religion feels wrong.

Other times we may know what is right, but find ourselves doing things that don't line up with our beliefs. This is also uncomfortable. Paul the apostle also felt this.
Romans 7:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

He was definitely conflicted. He found he could rely only on his salvation through Christ to get the assurance and peace he needed. But it doesn't resolve the conflict if we continue doing things that are causing that conflict, only obedience resolves that.

I have lived on both sides of the fence, often. rated for bravery
