My book is I, hopefully at my best and worst.  The real boring stuff is somewhere in the middle. 

For nearly a year now, I have been focusing on being awake --- seeing all the wonderful (and horrible) from this little corner of the world I live in.

I have attempted to share my "awakeness" with others so together we can savor every micro-second of our lives amidst its thrills and pains, ups and downs, the fat and thin, the noise and the silence.

I remember one day my book was rejected by a small printer.  But yet the publisher was kind enough to send me a hand-written page-long letter of what I could do to get the book from my heart published.

So in my disappointment I found hope because someone took a few minutes to say some good things, to open new vistas and develop a rapport.

Maybe this book will never be anything more than an heirloom to hand down to my family.  But it is a journey in hope and awareness that brought me to a new life.
