You all had so difficult times, with the hurricane and the elections. I am wishing that all is all right now, having in mind the lifes lost by this hurricane.
Having lost one of my most loved humans, I truly believe that death is a kind of freedom, from the tragedy that life can be. And in this thinking of life as a tragedy, I always had in mind, the plaque of human trafficking. I have long searched to be informed, and I always wanted to feel like doing something about this issue, in my small and minimal strength, and to this need I have found the Blue Heart Campaign and their site from where the following are :
" The Blue Heart
The Blue Heart represents the sadness of those who are trafficked while reminding us of the cold-heartedness of those who buy and sell fellow human beings. The use of the blue UN colour also demonstrates the commitment of the United Nations to combating this crime against human dignity.
In the same way that the red ribbon has become the international symbol of HIV/AIDS awareness, this campaign aims to make the Blue Heart into an international symbol against human trafficking. By "wearing"the Blue Heart you will raise awareness of human trafficking and join the campaign to fight this crime.
Follow the Blue Heart
By following the Blue Heart you can change your Facebook profile picture to a Blue Heart, stay connected through Twitter or watch videos on human trafficking on YouTube. Get involved and support the Blue Heart Campaign virtually.
An international campaign against a modern form of slavery
Human trafficking is a crime that strips people of their rights, ruins their dreams, and robs them of their dignity. It is a crime that shames us all. Human trafficking is a global problem and no country is immune. Millions of victims are entrapped and exploited every year in this modern form of slavery. To rally world public opinion against human trafficking, UNODC has launched the Blue Heart Campaign. It is open to all those who want to participate and wear the Blue Heart as a symbol of their support for this campaign.
"Wear" the Blue Heart on your website, your Facebook profile, your products, your publications - above all "wear" it on your heart!
Don't let us forget those without a voice.
Join with us in this fight!

I am wearing my blue heart here and in my Care 2 Care blog so if you like, be informed and let's all have blue hearts and stand against slavery.
Best wishes to all!!!

Here's an organization I've followed. I heard the CEO Gary Haugen speak once and he showed videos of some of their rescues. He and his organization have worked tirelessly to rescue many but this is such a huge problem. We have no idea how wide spread this is, frightening...
I did not realize how bad it is until a friend that I had worked with told me that he'd be visiting Cambodia, to rescue young girls, young as 11 years old, who are taken into slavery, sold on the open market like cattle .... Horrible situation that we find. Please make this known. You have a great heart and always enjoy exchanging ideas with you. Yes, let us energize the people so that we ALL will know that this is something that must be stopped.
Thank you for sharing with us. Another outstanding post.
