They aren't reparations. They are a secret slush fund for the ressurection of the CSA!

1. Red states receive a disproportionate amount of state and federal welfare/workfare/social subsidies,

and since

2. Overall most of these people are rural white (50-year-old myths about black welfare queens notwithstanding),

wouldn't

3. Obama's so-called reparations, in the form of health care for the working poor, actually be doled out to mostly poor rednecks and white supremacists, i.e. the Republican base?

4. Enabling the raising up of a healthier, stronger, new Confederacy?

Wait: that means: OMG: Obama is a :gasp: racist, secessionist Dixie-lover! Probably was brain-washed by his white mama.

The irony here is that this sequence is accurate. The primary beneficiaries of the healthcare reform and the public option are the white working poor.

Reminds me of Stephen Ambrose's anecdote from The Victors: An SS officer in the Rhineland battles, at war's end, leading a platoon of teenage SS Youth, let himself die rather than take the plasma, cause it might have contained "Jewish blood".

Racism and hate is its own worse enemy sometimes.
