I re-solve to do exactly as I do: to write no matter what.
If I break I will write.
If I lose my way I will write.
If my colon or my prostate needs more surgery I will write.
If I have more kidney stones I will write.
If I am condemned to eat prozac and xanax and ambien and simvistatin and benicar and omeprazole and polybenzofuckingwhatsis every fucking day for the rest of my pathetic life I will write.
If I have another nervous breakdown I will write.
If my obnoxious and ungrateful children who get straight As and win a zillion awards and thus trick me so I can't make them stop being so obnoxious and thus drive me into an angry and forlorn hole at times I will write.
If I fail I will write.
If I fall I will write.
If I am forsaken I will write.
If my meds make my right hand shake so bad I must grasp the pen with both and tear the paper as I go I will write.
If the money stops, if my light dies, if my will gives out, I will write.
If I am still, among the living, and eye and pen are all that move and will ever move again, amid chrome and hiss and dwee and antiseptic, I will write.
I will do exactly as I do and write and write and write:
my down and up writes
my civil and uncivil writes
my last and everlasting writes.

Noisy: thank you, and stay healthy. eat a peach.
onlyyou: I am overwhelmed by this. Thank you. "facelift bar" - how true! i struggle to come up with subtle meaning and posts that resonate our times, even the most straighforward descriptive ones like my under-viewed "writ off" -- and here you just "toss off" sheer brilliance like "New era caps"! You thrill me!
Verbal: you beautiful soul. thanks.
WalkAway: what a lovely comment. Thank you.

Write I will. Your words are full of determination -- enough to splatter on me, too. thank you Greg. Big hugs.
I already like next year!
I'll pop-off too long comment.
It good to know you. Serious.
Jeff Howe wrote this "and I will read."
It's great to be @ OS to know you better.
You are holding the pen of a ready writer.
You are "in the land of living" and sharing.
You are Blessing from a bed. I see beauty.
You are not ruing over what seem tragic.
Blog comments can be exhausting, cruel.
Bedridden
But, not you.
Be still, continuing
But, take care, write
'words for the living'
Thank you. So, awe we can read you more.
I sometimes find what you write (and draw and say) unbelievable, but only when cast against ordinary expectations and limits. That makes them extra ordinary.
See you soon & happy changing.
