A group called Symphony of Space with their thrilling aural reconstruction of the magnificence of our universe, as expressed by nonbelievers.
The gospel music of science and reality, at long last.

The Symphony of Science is a musical project headed by John Boswell designed to deliver scientific knowledge and philosophy in musical form. Here you can watch music videos, download songs, read lyrics and find links relating to the messages conveyed by the music.
The project owes its existence in large measure to the wonderful work of Carl Sagan, Ann Druyan, and Steve Soter, of Druyan-Sagan Associates, and their production of the classic PBS Series Cosmos, as well as all the other featured figures and visuals.
Continuation of the music and videos relies upon generous support from fans and followers. You can make a donation if you wish to contribute support to the project. Thanks to everybody who has donated- enjoy what you find!

The American Museum of Natural History put out a cool video, done from actual digital imagery, that harks back to exactly what Sagan did in that series. Sort of like that old ‘Powers of Ten’ video, it starts from earth and travels to the edge of the universe. If you haven’t seen it: The Known Universe by AMNH.
I will check your link David
thanks!
AT LONG LAST!
Thank you for making us aware of this.
jane: DO come back and listen. It's even better than u imagine.
Just: swell poetic comment. I refuse to surrender awe and ecstasy to the religious. Theirs is but a subset of the greater human experience.
I love the idea of using music & visuals to create a kind of "gospel music of science & reality." Much more involving than the science of my childhood. This is science with a kick. Science that can pull in even those of us who flunked it twice in high school.
robin: cool, eh? thanks
Stim: and it is literally true. the elements in us are the result of the earliest hydrogen and helium stars exploding, back when those were the only kind and that's all heir was. All the other elements from from the supernovae of the earliest stars. we are truly made of stars
Verbal: yeah!!
thank you! (and rated!)
