Our Loss

Lily Pad for Dakini Dancer

I actually finished another post this morning... before I saw the news about Dakini Dancer.   I thought it best to postpone what I'd planned to publish.   There's time.

In short it's all about time, isn't it.  I had not had time to get to know her yet.  We'd exchanged a few comments... but thus far that was it.  The Salon has grown so big and there are just so many wonderful people here... that I have assumed that in time I would slowly get around to meeting people.

The reality is that time doesn't allow us to get around to it.  Sometimes time simply won't allow us to stay.

My heart goes out to the family and friends.  To the people who knew her well and knew her personally... you have my heartfelt sympathies.

I've never been good with extending comfort to those who are grieving.  I've always felt that the words are somehow inadequate.  But please know that the sentiments are quite sincere.

This is our loss .  The OS is just a little bit less bright today.  I will offer a song in remembrance.

How do I say goodbye to what we had?
The good times that made us laugh
Outweigh the bad.

I thought we'd get to see forever
But forever's gone away
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

I don't know where this road
Is going to lead
All I know is where we've been
And what we've been through.

If we get to see tomorrow
I hope it's worth all the wait
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

shaking
the packet of seeds
ask, `are you still alive? - by Kiyoko Tokutomi.
~
In uncertain times, humanity has collected seeds. Just this morning, I looked at a small packet of apple seed called`Lady Apple. It's a very small apple that was placed in a Ladies purse for when she traveled on a journey. I'll see if these seeds are viable. Whatever, I'll plant a potted Red Maple in Memory this Memorial weekend. Ay, thanks Harp.
Humans yearn for connection to Nature. We emerged from a primordial Place. It's not "foolish" to touch these true Realities. Well. Let's all affirm the sacredness of all life forms. We inter'are.
Simply plant a seed. A flower. It's renewal. Let's trust in the future.

The haiku above expresses warmth and affection for a tiny sentient seed. It's viable? I will plant the Lady Apple seeds. All us human fellow member of humanity can deem the potency of Nature's sentient seeds. So, save seed. Save self? Shed a tear. Sunshine.

Whosoever will can redeem their small part. Redemption. Fallow. Individually, Let's have a fallow heart. How beautiful to read/hear.
Very lovely...........
A wonderful song for a wonderful woman...
