Jonathan Lee will read from Joy - about a suicidal six-figure-earning City lawyer named Joy and the people around her who’ve played their part in pushing her to her breaking point. “Exquisitely and surprisingly written” (The Guardian).
Francesca Segal will read from The Innocents - which takes Edith Wharton’s The Age of Innocence and plops it right in the middle of modern-day Jewish London. “A classily written comedy of manners” (The Independent – they also praise her “chutzpah”).
Kerry Hudson will read from Tony Hogan Bought Me an Ice Cream Float Before He Stole My Ma: a down and dirty tale of Scottish childhood on the estate. The Guardian says she’s "a rising star".
Doors open from 7:30. Event starts at 8.00. It's FREE.
