So what's it like living in a place where summer is 6 months a year? Hot. Warm. Hot and warm. It's heaven. And hell.
I am living in an archipelago. So you see, beaches abound. Lots and lots of bodies of water.
The beaches here are a sight. Fine white sand like powder, the water not too salty, and breathtaking sights. Some say we have the most beautiful sunset in the world. I tend to agree. When the sun sets, its a perfect circle of red. Not yellow or orange. It's red. Sometimes it's red-orange. It's romantic and fierce at the same time. It's a sight to behold, especially when the ocean breeze is cooling your face and the sound of the waves is your background music.

Aside from the beaches, we have the mountains, and the mountain ranges. I took up college in Baguio City, and Baguio City is located in a mountain range we call the Cordillera mountains.
I particularly love the mountains. It's the only place in the Philippines where temperature would drop to 7 degrees. I love the smell of pine and I love the fog in the early morning and late afternoon. I cherish my walk up and down the streets, streets which almost incline 90 degrees. I sometimes wish I brought my hiking tools with me.
The metropolitan is a place of hubbub and entertainment. Most people say it's dirty, crowded and polluted. Yes, it is but still there's something in the air (nope, not the smog) that makes you come back in the place. Personally, I come back for the street markets. In there you would find everything, from designer bags and clothes to uhm, questionable "medicines" (Once, I found a bottle with the label "Pamparegla" meaning if your menstrual cycle is not normal, the syrup in the bottle would make it normal).

You know, I could be here all day talking about what's wrong with the Philippine system and how officials are so corrupt and that this could have been done better with this and that but I decided against it. It's all been carefully written and rewritten and people have read the wrongness of every situation oh so many times. This may not be a perfect or accurate description of where I live, but it's how I see it.
