You need to post a warning: Pregnant women and/or those with weak stomachs should not look at this!

It is amazing how horrible food photography was until fairly recently.
that looks like what was dripping all down the walls in texas chain saw massacre.
Just remember, we had the ugly clothing to match.
O'Really - I can well imagine you cooking in a paisley apron.

Jeanette - sorry, but the surprise factor is too good :)

nofrillsmonkey - ewwwwwwww!
Guess what? It isn't from the 70's. It is a redo from the 50's. My mom made that in the 50's a lot. It was disgusting then and probably still is. The recipe is exactly the same. It still looks pathetic.
I remember loving this when my mom made it. But, hey, we all can't be gourmands~(it DOES look pretty gross!)
Oh God. Not another recipe. I just saw Julie & Julia (as you know.) Movie sucked, but the food looked good.
John- it's not just a recipe... it's art :)

What I really love are the ceramic pieces staged in the background to make it look homey.
at least the pie looks good. ::gah::

I hate green peppers, and it is the fault of recipes like this being popular in the 70s.
The photo may not be pretty, but we used to eat that all the time when I was a kid and it was really good.
mmmm, looks yummy!! lol.
Where's the picture of the melon ball cocktail?
Duaneart - I'm guessing the colours clashed.
too funny. I bought a complete set of recipe cards from the 70's last week and gave them to my Chef son....too funny, it cost me $1. He loved it!
Fabflamingo - I got mine as a gift with purchase from a novelty website years ago... if it wasn't for Foodie Tuesday, I don't know what the hell I'd do with them :)
