If OWS were a movie, it would be a cast of thousands of Extras, virtually no lead characters; the true main character is that of an idea, as William Wallace foretold, 'FREEDOM!' Or, Ritchie Havens at Woodstock. This is long since rough water beyond the bridge, but in these roots a revolution would take seed, burrow in, up, sprouting in other venues -- even other ideas of Participatory Democracy, brought up and forward. A contagious music found meaning.
People are intimidated that this is awkward,wrong and misguided. Well, a couple of hundred years back, this reaction would be there. It is almost always the minority of people who make the difference. In this spring, roots may well reveal these truths that will not appear as self evident. We will confront ourselves with what we are, want to become and what level of commitment is there. This may cleanse the bad air from a quaking system that serves some well and ignores the presence of quite a few. But we have a Republic, one of our fore father's tells us, ...
