"We need to get the independents and the women."
- Mitt Romney at a closed-door fundraiser
Possibly, early in his Pre-corporate Bain Capital days, he was the leader of an outlaw biker gang .... Can you hear him, 'This town's an easy push ... Greasey Nose, get us chicks -- Now!...'
Well, he's got basic leadership skills, I'd have to say. But do we want to roll the dice with someone who changes positions more often than Mata Hari slipping back into France after her most notorious mission in Madrid?
With enough clever branding, Republicans think they can just "get...the women."
This week, Republican Leader Eric Cantor’s "Young Guns" group announced a multi-million dollar media blitz called "Woman Up" to convince voters that there is no Republican War on Women. (Apparently, nearly shutting down the government to defund Planned Parenthood doesn’t count.)
Let’s show the Republicans that no public relations campaign will change the facts on their extreme anti-women record. As the DCCC’s Women’s Vote Director, I can tell you our rapid response operation can counter them and get the truth out. But, we will need to go toe-to-toe, and that means an additional $148,000 before Monday’s FEC deadline.
48 Hours To Go: Will you rush an emergency contribution of $3 or more before the deadline?
This all comes on the heels of Republicans in Congress trying to derail the Violence Against Women Act. We can’t let Republicans etch-a-sketch away their destructive War on Women.
We need you in this fight. Contribute before Monday’s FEC deadline and Democrats will match your gift dollar-for-dollar:
