abuse is not pretty buy we can not turn away
It's everywhere and it's a disgrace to humanity. Some people should not be parents. Others just turn a blind eye and don't want to get involved. Great posting.
Rated & Cheers!
The saddest thing I've seen all year.
I'm curious what the complaints were- is that available anywhere? It's not an easy ad to watch- but that's sort of the point isn't it?
I agree with JustJuli. My guess is whoever complained missed the point of the Ad.
Whoever complained must live in a parallel universe. They exist, right here among us.

Or the complainers might have recognized themselves. Glad none of the complaints were upheld.

Powerful and disturbing. Rated.
WOW. This is FANTASTIC! It made me sick to my stomache - whis is, I gather, its intended purpose. I'm sure they'd get a lot of complaints in the US as well.
god that was brilliant (the American version of that word)- whoever made that was actually paying attention
I am wincing involuntarily watching this. Break my heart.
We need this in the States.
Most of the complaints were from parents who were worried it would upset kids too much -- it was shown before the "watershed" of 9 PM, after which more adult T.V. can be aired in the U.K -- but personally I think most children have a pretty good handle on the kind of cruelty that happens in this world anyway.

It certainly shocked me when I saw it. But it also had a strong ring of truth too.
A very dramatic ad. I can see why people would complain -- they hate having their noses rubbed in reality.
Heartbreaking reality.
I think it takes an ad that is at least this graphic to get people's attention. They see the criminal, but not the child that needed help. Thanks for posting this.
I hated this advert. It was very true and therefore depressing. Rated.
powerful, wonderful, awful, symmetrical
Dificult and uncomfortable to watch. Rated because just so.
Britain, this cancels all of your Susan Boyle happy points.
Britain’s population is 61,113,205. 840 complaints don’t even constitute a blip of a cultural pulse representation. If that ad was done here in the US, because of its graphic nature, I guarantee the amount of complaints would have been far more significant.

Kudos to the United Kingdom. We need to do more than just copy their scripted TV sh0ws.
Sometimes the most dangerous place you can be is at home. Thanks for this. Rated.
