The King is Dead, Long Die His Speech

Rate: 6 Flag

Seems that once upon a time

They taught a King to speak.

Then

there was a world war.

Thank Heavens they

no longer teach kings to speak.

Only queens  learn to speak these  days.

...................................................................................

"Every great movement begins with one man, and

i guess i'm it" says Charlie Sheen.

This is on the new CNN show with the english guy

who's taken

Larry King's place.

English guy, whose speech is impeccable,

says he hopes one of the best shows on television will

soon be back on.

..............................................................................

Switch to Anderson Cooper, very serious about LIbya....

"let's just say Kaddafi is not telling the truth.

when leaders lie, it is a very serious matter."

I can't tell irony from heavy-handed mediawhoring anymore.

I hope Anderson, who got his ass kicked in Egypt,

is being ironic.

...............................................................................................

Only a true King could pull off ultimate irony.

.........................................................................................

Whose stupid idea was it to teach a King to talk?

I think it was the King's idea to want to fulfill his duty to his country. I believe a few of them have actually cared in a weird sort of way as they watched the many underlings go hungry while they (the nobility) dine on all the exquisite foods they can shove in their mouth. If that is caring? I'm not sure, perhaps it is feudalistic caring, but not humanely caring...
it is the care of kings for their subjects, alas:
if the king's tummy is full & he is healthy he will better lead his
nation.

then he forgot how to talk.... how to justify the bullshit.

one last war for glory!!! WWII!!!!

no one taught lyndon johnson or g.wb or gwb2
how to rouse the population.
Very clever. I enjoyed it.
(please see my reply to your comments regarding Infinity, I really appreciated them)
when leaders lie it's a very serious matter...haha..
when leaders open their mouths...
Funny stuff and nice put.
did CS actually say that? and did the new larry king say that he wished the show wd be back? wow am happy - I like that show.

as for the rest - good journal, nicely written - thx for sharing it with us
Iris Murdoch: Words always lie, actions never do.
as kings go, the king you speak of was a pretty decent king. overprivileged, to say the least, but decent and responsible in a time when it was necessary. his brother on the other hand who was king for about five minutes loved adolph hitler and that crew so the brits got lucky in that respect, although had he remained king and not abdicated britain may have had it's own uprising and dumped the useless little shit.

I don't think anderson was being ironic. I think he was being the dumb cat he often is. I look into his digital eyes and I see nothing, no sparks. blank. empty. void. he's cute as a button but does he have chops? does anyone care?
I love this, and the first few lines make a perfect quick review of "The King's Speech".
