that pic is laura, mary, and carrie ingalls. i had to change my pic real quick cause i think someone i know has infiltrated the site. if he has, and if he writes, he will be a welcome addition, but i went and favorited him and then said, oh no, he will see my pic! then i thought, so unfriend him. but then i figured he has the notification of friend set up (most of us do, till we learn we can un-do it), so i changed the pic. not the best one anyone ever saw. but i do love laura. so there it is.

Thank God for Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Rate: 8 Flag

because every week i get to cry for a whole hour (or this week, two hours).  tears of joy, which are as cathartic as the bad kind.

i love this show.

dont get me wrong, i love reno 911 too.   because i get to laugh for an entire half hour.

yeah, these are the two best shows on television, in my opinion.

oh, and if you can tune out the patter in between segments, that america's funniest home videos IS funny.  as long as you remember that most likely, no one really got hurt in any of the mishaps.  i base that on the assumption that if your aunt herniated two disks in that fall, you wouldn't send the video to america's funniest home videos.

and then too, the derivative america's funniest animals, also real fun.

and family guy.  takes a couple months to accept that you laugh at such juvenile, idiotic humor.  but once you accept that you yourself are a plebe, then you can just enjoy it and laugh at the idiocy without shame.

and jeopardy is good for feeling like a super genius.

and if you have game show channel, which i don't anymore - that match game is pretty frigging funny, and bawdy too.

what do you watch?

guy just said, "shoot for the moon, and if you miss it, reach out and grab a star."

crying.
I like the Jeopardy, but it rarely makes me feel smart. If I want to feel smart I watch Cash Cab Or Wheel of Fortune.
cash cab is lots of fun. my sister used to watch wheel with me, and i swear to god that i would say the answer, and a second later she would say it, and she always swore she didnt hear me. ah, memories.

trick with jeopardy is 9 times out of 10 your guess turns out to be right. start blurting out answers willy nilly, and you'll see.
i don't know about extreme makeover home edition, but family guy is one of the best programs in the history of TV. ever. as far as america's funniest videos, it works best for me if i imagine that people WERE harmed in the making of it, but then i'm a bad person.
That show has me boo hooing with stuffy nose and snot and stuff.
ha, zuma, i know it! good girl.

and nana - yes, you are naughty!
"Family Guy" is absolutely hysterical. I love that show.
steve, my favorite is when stewie says, "what the deuce?"

i try to say it as well, but i fail.
I love Jeopardy and my sister was on it once. Do you have any idea how hard it is to make the cut? Whew. Like the SAT's. She didn't win but few women do... it turns out the guys are better at the buzzer.
i watch waaay too much tv but i don't watch any of these shows. i will start watching family guy asap, based on what you're all saying. and find cash cab too. i watch more pedestrian fare like Medium, BSG which is now gone, desperate housewives, grey's anatomy, all three Law and Order;s, Rescue Me, 30 Rock, Bones, Fringe --- well, you see the problem. really fun post. love love love
This Jeopardy addict says, "Compete with the contestants". Here's how......
In the "Jeopardy" portion (first half) a correct answer gets you 1 point. Daily double is 2 points.

In "Double Jeopardy" portion (second half) a correct answer gets you 2 points. Daily doubles are 4 points.

"Final Jeopardy" correct answer gets 5 points.

Oh yeah........You ONLY get points if NO contestant gives the correct answer.

My personal best is 13 (twice in ? years)
hi sally - i had a friend who was on it once too. he won once and lost the next game. i too could never be on it because of the buzzer. then, on the questions where i did buzz first, the nerves would make me forget what my mother's maiden name was, so...

teddy - omg you HAVE to check out reno 911!!!! it is one of the funniest shows ever. lieutenant dangle in his short shorts will never ever get old. neither will the rollerskating man-whore, terry.

larry, i love your rules but they are complicated. one thing i love to do? i guess final jeopardy BEFORE they ask the question! ahahaa! usually i am wrong, but on rare occasions i am right, and not too rarely, i am in the right ball-park.

my ex used to always answer, "who is jesus christ?!" no matter the question.
janie,
Complicated?!!
I've read things of yours that are really complex right here on OS!! What is complicated about:
Jeopardy half = 1 point
Double Jeopardy half = 2 points
Daily doubles = double points
Final Jeopardy = 5 points

This is less difficult than 'spelling' the word "Jeopardy"!
larry you made me laugh out loud. i have had to correct the spelling every single time in this post!

you convinced me! i will give it a try!
If you look at those clothes I'm not sure any of them are straight, man.
that jacket, coogan, on richard dawson! woo!
cleav, i bet your husband went in the bathroom and cried! tell him i said so! :-)
