Pelosi Did Not Call Anyone a Nazi

When asked about protesters at local town hall meetings, Nancy Pelosi said the following:

"I think they’re Astroturf… You be the judge. "They’re carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare."

So, nowhere did she call protesters Nazis.

What she said is that the protesters were bringing swastikas to these events. In other words, it is the protesters who are comparing health care reform supporters to Nazis.

Does anyone not understand this?  And if not, why not?

Now, I realize that there may be some dispute as to whether or not protesters are actually bringing swastikas, or signs with swastikas, to these events.

Do you think these people put these signs away?  Has this meme been abandoned?  Yeah, sure.

I saw a protester holding an Obama poster with a Hitler moustache on TV today. I can't even imagine how anyone calls this civil discourse.

For the record, I don't think anyone should be compared to Hitler. It's too easy, while at the same it trivializes the Holocaust.

I would like to think that I am smart enough to understand this post. Actually, to see that there are so many others out there that don't get it makes me feel like a genius. These people are vile. When McCain said he was proud of the people at his rallies, you got the impression that he was lying outright. Who could be proud to have these people in their corner. They don't even pretend to have right on their side. they are hate mongers.

This whole thing makes me so angry that I haven't even been able to watch the news coverage of these protests, as important as it all is. This kind of irrational behavior, which has been growing virulently since the McCain-Palin rallies, makes me so upset and also scared!

So "in other words"... she called them nazis! Why don't you wake up and use her real words? You may now snitch me out to the White House website. Libtard national socialist party members=facism/nazis party members. 51% of the nations voters fear Federal Government more than insurance companies (rassmussen polling). Obamacare is going down in flames because people want their granny to live a long life. "Death panels" are the next step in single-payer national health care plan and that scares the hell out of aging baby boomers. Waterloo anyone?

Your welcome. When Pelosi casts vile aspersions at an entire class of senior protestors, expect her to be called out. She inferred by the way, and you're defending her. That's an enabler.

Interesting. And completely unsurprising.

I feel sorry for senior citizens. They're the ones who are being lied to in order to exploit their fears. Shame on Palin and Gingrich. (I doubt, however, that they are able to experience shame.)

As you can see by the comment I left here on August 7 (the second one), I don't approve of anyone being compared to Hitler. But, feel free to keep changing the subject.
