I really like the “Open Call” concept. This one is a call out for poetry that uses five particular words in it. You can use of these five words in whatever tense you'd like and use them more than once if you want. The five words are: Fire, Cloak, Far, Spit, and Kiss. I’m not a poet, nor will I ever be. But I like the challenge. This isn’t a poem by any means; instead I have tried to use these five words in the shortest unmistakably understood story possible.
I want to spit the kiss you gave to me under false pretense. I want to burn your deceiving cloak in a fire of shame. I want you to get far the hell away from me.
