Bio
Jeff Howe is a bonsai enthusiast and harmonica player who has very good reason to believe that the Universe tastes like a cheap buck-fifty melon. He is a product of Walled Lake and a former Poetry Slam Champion of Milwaukee. He once shook hands with Rocky Colavito, opened for Leon Redbone and took a piss next to Mose Allison (no hands were shaken). All things considered, his best single day was July 4th, 1987 when he marched in the Marmarth, North Dakota parade in the morning, discovered a rare dinosaur skull in the afternoon, and then sat in playing harmonica with a drunken cowboy band until way past tomorrow. It's been downhill ever since. Jeff is a misemployed geologist who specializes in interpreting rock outcrops at 70 miles per hour. It's a gift. His daughter loves cows. ................................................................................................................... To My Friends Here At OS

Rate: 3 Flag

I'd at least appreciate a chance to say good-bye.  It took me three rounds of error messages and "you-can't-get-here-from-theres" just to reach this site this morning.  Once I got here it ate my message.  I'll give it one more try.

I've been just about as patient with OS as anyone but I've finally come to the realization that it is too cumbersome and unreliable to continue using. Frankly, it is embarrassing.

Like others, I have parked my tent over at "Our" but can ALWAYS be found at

                                                       jeff-howe.net

Come visit anytime.  The lemonade is free and the stories are guaranteed 87.3% true... unless otherwise noted.

Thanks.

Best.

J.

I'll check in from time to time...
I'll check in too, Jeff, at least for awhile.

Tomorrow's my fourth anniversary here, and I fear it will be my last. What a sad, sad time for those of us who loved this site.
I have no need to opt for one site over the other. I'll post and comment on both.

I fully expect that those sheeple who followed their new Moses to the promised land of Our Salon, and were highly incensed at my criticism of their childish 'boycott' of this site, will not likely be copious commenters on my blogs at Our. This pleases me far more than they might think.... ;-)

I am extremely patient. But I don't find this site or others I've frequented very secure. When it takes all day to load a site, it's simply not worth the aggravation nor the wasting of time that could be better spent with things I've left undone.

I will check back here occasionally, only to read what others have posted.

I may also join others elsewhere whose generosities included me when and where others have excluded me from contributing an opinion or a topic of discussion groups of artists and craftsman enjoy interactive debates on issues we all face at some moment in time.

You are one of my faves, so it's pretty much a given that I'll visit your website.

Happiest of holidays to all and a hope-filled wish that all of us are prosperous in 2013 and years following.
