Only Nixon could go to Communist China in 1972-73, only Captain Kirk (pudgy William Shatner) could be the United Federation of Planets' Peace Envoy to the Klingons in 'STAR TREK VI: THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY', and only President Obama will have the political/moral authority to convene a Comprehensive Middle East Peace Conference next year, if he is re-elected in November. All this business of signing off on the drone 'kill list', and having now leaked to the press the two recently BIG intelligence operations of the US in the Middle East...the Al-Qaeda informant/agent in Yemen exposing the most recent airline bomb plot and yesterday the US role in the Stuxnet computer virus attack on Iran...together with the execution of Osama Bin Laden is positioning Obama to have the CREDIBILITY as a chief executive, sufficiently uncompromising on national security issues, to get the political support after the elections to begin seriously organizing a Middle East Peace Conference to hammer out a modus vivendi between the Israelis, Palestinians and Iranians, to begin with, as the lynchpin of a continuing, ongoing comprehensive Middle East Peace Initiative.

One relatively risk-free way President Obama could have positioned himself even earlier in his first term as a gung-ho Commander-In-Chief, and seduce the centrist independent voters, was to have gone after the Somali pirates hijacking commercial ships in international waters off the coast of Somalia in the Indian Ocean.  These bastards have been ransoming ships with valuable cargo for years and Obama could have quickly and easily made a name for himself as a tough-guy President by launching air strikes against their home villages and ports.  The TV scenes of lots of piled up dead nigger bodies would have demonstrated to middle of the road Amerika that Obama was a GOOD NEGRO, willing to kill Africans in large numbers to maintain the security of global maritime shipping routes. It would have been a winning position for Obama with the domestic white voters, and would have shown that Obama is absolutely NOT politically correct, and would not allow any 'progressive' sentiments for Third World Negro poverty to cloud his resolve to exact fiery vengeance on Third Worlders who dared challenge Western economic imperialism.  Why Obama missed that obvious chance to definitively prove he is an 'Oreo cookie' is beyond me, but he has redeemed himself with his 'kill lists' with most Amerikans...wink

For those who are skeptical about present day Obama's Peace Conference intentions, don't you think that's exactly what's in his manipulative mind, a way to make his Presidency monumental?  He has to be tremendously aware of the embarrassingly great distance between his mantle as a Nobel Peace Prize laureate on the one hand and his responsibilities as leader of the world's sole military hyper power. Anyone with the huge ego necessary to vie for top political leadership wants also to leave a significant legacy for his country, people, and the world.  For all those leftist critics of Obama and his seeming indifference to civil liberties or humanitarian issues you just don't understand that in the US and Europe and other Western countries, that the political leadership wants to be well thought of by their publics and wants to develop a reputation for positive deeds and advances for their societies and now even the global public.  No one wants to be thought of as a war-monger and as evil, obviously.

So to make that significant contribution to World Peace the President will have to undertake some kind of grand peace initiative after he is re-elected.  That is the only way he can continue to think highly of himself.  It is the only route that can justify the ongoing killing of people around the world.  And all that the mainstream of the American people wants is to be secure from terrorism and attack, be secure from rogue states or over-weening rival powers, and make it possible to liberalize those peoples and societies.  For all the skeptics who will laugh at this description all I can say is you don't understand human nature or the deep strain of idealism that still runs through the American national character.  (Even in pop culture this fundamental truth is described, as in Joseph Heller's famous 'Catch-22' where the militaristic powers-that-be, that Heller otherwise satirizes, are quoted in that memorable line as saying 'Just like us...we just want to be liked' after being asked by Yossarian what is it that they really want out of life, out of the war.)  'Be tough, carry a big stick, and then work for global progress'...that is Middle America's motto for the US.  It is a genuine component of American foreign policy and Donny Rich must stop advocating for pre-emptive military actions all the time and fall into line!...wink  (And Donny, now that it has been as officially confirmed as possible that the US has basically been at war with Iran for many months now, how long do you think it will be before Iran retalliates? Look for that single missile strike on a supertanker any day now because that's the only thing that can give Iran leverage in the upcoming talks in Moscow, and say your prayers, and pray for war always...dubble winklies)
