271 Pounds...

Rate: 1 Flag

Over labor day weekend I didn't weigh.  This morning I found out I've managed to lose 2 more pounds!!!  I was waiting for 272, and I missed it!

So, now I'm 271 and today I wore my first pair of zip up, non-elastic waist pants in years.  I bought them weeks ago, but hadn't had a chance to break them in.  The pants are from Lane Bryant (see above picture) and they are size 28.  Most people wouldn't be proud of a 28, but I am thrilled!  At 300 pounds I could never have worn a 28!  I might even be able to wear a 26 at this point because my 28s are already loose on me.

It is strange to wear clothes that fit.  I'm used to my clown pants with enough material in them to flow over any bulge.  I never felt fat because my clothes were so forgiving.

I'm so used to gaining weight.  Going the other way is odd.  I always line dry everything for fear that it might shrink and now I'm thinking I'm going to have to dry EVERYTHING in the dryer to keep it from falling off!

The 260s are really becoming a reality now.  Not sure what I'll do to celebrate.  We don't have a lot of money because of medical bill (my two boys with autism).  I think I WILL splurge though and buy one new outfit.  Maybe some size 26 pants to go with my 28s.  I'll post a picture to let you see.

Only 116 more pounds to go!  I'm really amazed I've come this far.  I don't miss the extra weight ONE BIT!

Here's to 271!
