I'm a mother of four beautiful children. A teenage daughter, 9 year old son, and 4 and 5 year old boys with autism. I'm juggling a lot, and sometimes I drop it all! Oh, and I'm transforming my former 300 pound body into a more healthy 155 pounds. Doctors orders! Only 105 more pounds to lose - and I won't miss them!

270 Pounds!!!

Rate: 3 Flag

Just one pound away from the 260s and I'm euphoric!  I spent today in a happy cloud!  At last this seems real to me.  I just might get my body, MY LIFE back!!!

I also figured out my webcam!  With less weight comes true enlightenment - in more than one way!  Above is the new haircut I got to celebrate 275 lbs.

And this is me (-30 pounds).  I still have 115 to go.  It's all in my middle and it looks like I'm carrying 6 babies!  I've been in la la land for too long about how I look.  When my two children were diagnosed with autism, I just lost it (actually gained it).  Not a great way to cope.

So now you know what 270 pounds looks like.  I was too embarrassed to go on record at 300, but now I think it will be nice to have some pictures of the transfomation I finally believe is going to take place.

270 is a great place to be, but I'm looking forward to 269.  It seems to come off in short bursts sometimes so I know it could take some time.  I think I will fall over when I see 269 on the scale.  It's been a LONG time.

Here's to 270!!!

Thanks for sharing this story with us and keep up the fantastic work!
Congrats! I was 340 a year and a half ago, and am down to 268 right now. It is hard work, but it is worth it. Keep it up.
Thank you for sharing about this. I get a big smile whenever I see that you've posted an update. It's really inspiring.
Congratulations - You WILL make your goal. A year ago I went in for lower back surgery and came out a diabetic. Was told by both my back surgeon and my primary care doctor to loose weight. So far I have gone from about 275 down to almost 200. If I can do it you can to - good diet and exercise is what it takes. Looking forward to the pic of you when you make your goal.
Love the new ’do! And you do indeed look lovely.
