Is it premeditated murder in the first degree when a trained officer while under no threat to his own person and clearly out of harm's way, from a tranquil and calm stance takes aim and discharges a bullet into the body of a person while being restrained face down on the ground by his comrades. Was it a cowardly decision to shoot an unarmed man in the back in cold blood. The victim was completely unaware and incapable of defending himself and never suspected that he had but seconds to live in the sight of all. The unsuspecting victim trusted in his system of justice. We murdered him. Yes, We the People. I witnessed similar murders of this nature in Viet Nam. My soul grieves to this day.
Was this an unauthorized public execution ? Oh, the peaceful feelings of the people been enraged and damaged? We the People of this Nation as well as his family will suffer the crushing emotional weight of this wicked act for many generations. Now We the People will carry suspicion toward our own government and police and will harbor profoundly ill feelings because this unfortunate person was cut off from his life by a peace officer without being given an opportunity to make amends to his God or his neighbor. It would be unquestionably just to assign "evil intent" to this act if committed by thugs, more so to a uniformed officer of the peace acting under the august authority of the state or county.
We the People demand a swift and just resolution for this wicked crime. It must never be repeated. We must never permit ourselves to respect, tolerate, excuse, accept or fear brutality. This is the advent of Communism and Nazism on American soil. Martin Luther King's response to brutality was peaceful and non violent and based upon the teachings of Christ. Obama is president today because of it. Embrace decisive tranquility.

I'm a Christian, but do not ascribe to that Old Testament "eye for an eye" crap which would leave us all blind since everyone has some kind of grievance against somebody else. I'm a follower of the New Testament's "turn the other cheek" approach to violence.
Hey, like you said, it worked for Gandhi and King (as well as Mandela)! Thanks for speaking truth to power and being a true patriot for denouncing such actions. If more of us stand up and say "Enough!" maybe we can stop this madness.
His "defense" is that he thought he was discharging his taser. Which doesn't make any sense at all as A) the taser is holstered on the other side of the body, B) doesn't look or feel like a gun, and C) why the hell would he need to taser a restrained and cooperative man who was lying face down on the platform floor and repeating, over and over again, "I didn't DO ANYTHING, man. I just had a BABY. I didn't DO ANYTHING. I'm COOPERATING."
His trial has been delayed because of the deaths of the four officers. But I do believe we'll see justice here. I just cannot fathom, why? Why did he do it?
Said with clarity and clearness of purpose!
