So apparently some people have been posting makeup-less pictures of themselves on here. I'm not nearly daring enough to do the nudity part of it, though. If OS blogs could only be seen by people on OS, fine, but since it's searchable and open to the public I don't want an inncoent daring thing to come back and bite me in the ass.
Yesterday was the most beautiful spring day so far this year. My boyfriend and I went to the lake by our house to chill, and this is a picture he took of me. I look tired because I'd stayed up until 2 AM grading my students' final exams and had been fielding "I know I didn't do any of the problem sets and I got straight C's on all of the midterms, but I've been, like, really stressed out, can I please have an A anyway??" emails for the past 48 hours. (Word to the wise: the emails just described are not how you get TAs to be lenient with your grade.)

I won't do nude pictures, but I'm happy to do bellydancing ones, which show tummy (ick). I figure if it's my avatar, then showing the larger version won't hurt. Here we go:

So there I am.

I surely admire your stoicism.
Boanerges--I worry about having to work with some of my whinier students sometimes (would LOVE to work with my awesome students, someday, though!). Now I'm thinking, "Shit, so that CAN happen." Oh well.
Patricia--thank you, I wish I weren't emotionally dependent on makeup though...my friends say they don't notice a difference, but I think I look about fifty times better with it on. Can't use foundation, b/c my face looks funny without freckles.
Ariana--bellydancing is indeed happiness-inducing! Thank you for your kind words!
You are wise not to want to post nude pics, leaving something to the imagination is always a good thing.
