Let's see, I will probably have to spend 7,000 a year on insurance at my age. Times a million people, thats 7 billion. Times ten million people thats 70 billion dollars a year in new customers. How about 40 million new customers? 280 billion dollars a year. Yeah, the insurance companies are really taking the high hard one on this. I hear the head of Cigna is on suicide watchover it.

If I do return to the US (which is unlikely), I will happily pay the $700 fine rather than $10,000 to Aetna for a policy that has so many exclusions, deductibles and copays that it still leaves me responsible for most of my health care costs.

I think people forget that this individual mandate model was the same plan proposed by Richard Nixon in the 1970s.

I had a horrifying experience two weeks ago when my (new) doctor didn't realize I'm not on some government program.

"Healthcare" is an Orwellian name for what's ahead for all of us. I'm enraged that I'll have to continue to pay for insurance while receiving less healthcare.

First they have to get everybody back to work. Imagine the guy with four kids, an under water mortgage, a car payment, auto insurance, a child support payment, assorted credit cards, and now a new health care policy, for 4 kids and a smoker(his wife) and him. And, his company is downsizing. Will he A) get a second job B) decide the mortgage is more important than eating C) kill his family and himself D) blow up a federal building?
