Waking up naturally in absolute silence after a great night’s sleep.
Diving naked into our spring fed pond after a few hours of gardening on a hot day.
Sinking my trowel into the warm earth around a potato plant and feeling around the loosened soil for potatoes.
Climbing into a bed made up with cotton sheets fresh from the clothesline.
Drying the beads of water off my just-washed car.
Gently releasing a fragile cork from a fine bottle of aged red wine.
Typing…the tactile feel of the keys as they push back on the pads of my finger tips and the accompanying click.
Placing butter in a hot pan and watching it melt.
Kneading dough.
Stepping into a hot shower.
Swimming underwater.
Taking warm, crisp clothes off the clothesline.
Performing the bow at the start and end of a tai chi set.

M B, if you only knew. Tomorrow I have to take "Dead Kitty Walking" into the vet for the "last" time. I'm a mess. I think I wrote this while tring to think of nicer things than having my cat put down. Gah! It worked...for awhile.

Oh man! The thought of climbing into a freshly made bed after they have hung outside to dry--- I LOVE THIS! Man I have got to get back to the country so I can have a clothes line again.
Thank you for the awaking of the things around us that we might take for granted every day.
Thank you!
It is a good exercise to do because it takes you to a place that feels good. I'm looking for your 13...all of you. :)
