Open Call? My song for the OS Editors? Is this it?

Rate: 22 Flag

I am not quite sure about this open call, because life is a little complicated right now, but this...this... this has always been one of my songs for some strange reason. Hey, I was a product of the eighties. I am still finding shoulder pads in my drawers...not those drawers you doofus; my dresser drawers.

I am not embarassed, but I am a little worried you will say, "Janie, wtf?" And if you do, please get in line...but you will have to walk around the block to find the end.

Please do not try to butt in the line; there will be consequences and I cannot be responsible for your safety at this point in time. Those that have been in line for awhile are a little restless.

Food and drink are allowed while in line - provided you share, but please do not litter. I hate that. Punishment for littering will be severe. If you bring camp chairs and blankets, please be sure to gather them up on the way out. I do not want to clean up after you. Is that clear???

And, if some version (maybe without the gunfire) isn't played at my funeral, I am coming back to get you. :) With love of course.

Namaste

Sorry Cartouche darling, but I just had to take it all down another notch before the weekend. :) Love ya babe.

Chuck, I may have missed the point of the open call. Sorry. I guess I did it my way. ... again. Your damn healthcare/Presidential speech/joe wilson thingie just plumb tuckered me out.

~sigh~

I did... I did... I did do it my way. For all the good it did. :)
Sid was so hot... in that heroin junkie vomit on your torn t-shirt kind of way...
JK- Your way...my way...
Keep on strokin' on, girl. There is no other way to motate through the absurdity...
-rated-
I brought you a patriotini...its' my newest creation..xox
I'd say that's it!
cool
Um . . . the camera work gives me a headache . . . but the song is actually pretty good!
There was nobody like Sid. And the damn healthcare/Presidential speech/joe wilson thingie has left me tuckered out too Janie.
Surly, I know, I know. You nailed it. There was something about the vomit on your torn t-shirt thing that kind of washed away all the Bobby Sherman years.

Mothership...I can only do what I gots ta do. And tonight, I gots ta do Sid. :)

((((Robin)))) That's sound fabulous. I love you for that. xox

Karin, So glad you got my drift.

Owl, yeah, the video sort of takes away from it. Personally, I preferred it while dancing wildly in some after hours place in my leather pants and with my nearly shaved head. God I miss those days.

Nana,... I am soooo tired out from that. First you are down, then you all are up, then down, then up, then angry, then sad, then scared. Good God. Do you people not know how to regulate yourselves??? Here, have a Canadian beer. It works for us. :)
Good for you. We should all do it our way.
That was PERFECT!!!!
Sid did work it... don't fret the A chord, i miss my point all the time. This was fantastic elastic fantasticalistic !
Would love to see pictures of those days. And/or recreations of those days. With pictures. C'mon, Betty . . . you know you want to!
I am screaming. That performance is like my writing!

"I am still finding shoulder pads in my drawers...not those drawers you doofus; my dresser drawers."

Did you ever wonder what the world was coming to when you put on a jacket over a dress and got double shoulder pads?
Susan and Suzie, yes. Doing it our way puts the Open in Open Salon.

Chuck, can you tell I am a little tone deaf today? That darn A chord always trips me up fantasmilcally.

Owl, the hair, the hair, the clothes, the clothes. I think most of the pictures are buried. I went to business school right after that. Imagine their surprise when I walked in shaved head, torn t-shirt et al. But within 4 yrs, they'd cleaned me up and sent me out on the corporate conveyor belt. Thankfully I fell off a few years later. :)

Zuma, the double shoulder pads, especially at the height of the trend, well those could be down right scary. They could even affect your hearing. I felt like a linebacker. Please God, hear my prayer. Do not bring back those bloody shoulder pads. :)
Sid Vicious rules. It was a shame when he murdered Nancy, but then who wouldn't have.
Oh Drew. You can be such a bitch. But in a good way. Sort of. ;P
Never mind the bollocks!
Johnny Rotten and The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones - these are bands that paved the way for the commercial success of bands like Nirvana and Green Day. I think Sid would be proud to know that he is still relevant to a lot of people.
love the sentiment, if not the execution- so uhm, he's a singer?
You're kidding right Julie? You're telling me you don't know who Sid Vicious is? I feel so.....old:(
Great choice! I usually hate that song, but if anyone can redeem it, it would be the Sex Pistols. I'm sure the editors will be grateful for this, JK.
"My Way" by Sid is classic, but "Pretty Vacant" is my fav Pistols tune.

"There's no point in asking
You'll get no reply
I just remembered, I'm terribly sorry
I've got no reason, there is no "Why?"
Say "No future!" and that's just fine

oh we're so pretty
oh so pretty we're vacant
oh we're so pretty
oh so pretty
a vacant

don't ask us to attend
'cos we're not all there
oh don't pretend 'cos i don't care
i don't belive illusions
'cos too much is real
so stop you'r cheap comment
'cos we know what we feel

oh we're so pretty
oh so pretty we're vacant
oh we're so pretty
oh so pretty we're vacant
They don't write 'em like that anymore.
Oh yea!! Awesome choice my general!!! MY WAY!!! ~grabs his guns and starts shooting people~ YEAH!! YEAH!!

Oops, sorry, got a little carried away! I liked Sid and Nancy(the movie) and this song was in it!! Two rates if I could!!!
who you callin a doofus?
I resemble that remark.
after hours place with a nearly shaved head...do you have pictures?
Janie, You and Sid started my day with a bang! Glad to see you have kept your sense of perspective and humor during the trying times...and keep on doing it your way! Cheers... and Rated
Ralph, et al, it is songs like this that keep my life in perspective. My life may not be perfect, but it is mine. :)
