The new trend of using prison labor in the US is a booming industry. At 20 cents an hour, no medical insurance, no unemployment insurance, no OSHA, no labor department regulations, just sweet slave labor. The corporations are snatching up people who are supposed to be locked up by the cattle car full. But look at the positive effect on unemployment. Now companies can put all those unemployed prisoners to work, and save a bundle at the same time. The federal minimum wage doesn't come into play in the slave trade market, neither do labor codes, like 8 hour day's, breaks, lunch. These future rehabs make everything from circuit boards for missiles used in Libya, to the "chicken" nugget things they feed your kids in school cafeterias. It's a good thing we have government looking out for us.
