now I'm "curating" my "blog" to make it "better"
The idea is to control my "image" by deleting posts and sort of just "control freaking" the whole thing.
Too bad I'm not the director of a nonprofit who drives a VW Touareg...then my excursion into a more evolved form of control-freakishness would be complete. Read full post »
so what's up with Stellaa?
She posts on controversial topics that generate a shit-storm of comments, then "curates" the result to fit into some sort of fantasy world.
Why even blog? Why not just start a private listserve? Read full post »
how thoughtful!
To the pretty married woman at Starbucks: it really isn't necessary to do the "ring flash" at me, as I have no expectation we would ever meet, talk, or have sexual intercourse.
But thanks for thinking of me. Read full post »
I've been wondering lately if I have a brain tumor
It's not like I have symptoms...but my dad died of a brain tumor so I suppose I'm "at risk". Actually I do have a symptom: I'm trying to climb down the mountain of self, and up the mountain of other.
This is so out of character for me that it can… Read full post »
the 2nd time recently that I've been sick on the weekend
This is a problem, because I like to have fun on the weekends or at least feel good, or not-sick, or whatever. Since it seems to happen just over the weekend I think that it may be psychological.

Open Salon seems a bit gyno-centric to me
No matter...I really have nothing to say anyway.
Evil dog people!
Near where I live is a grassy area with a lot of really big, old trees. It's the perfect place for squirrel watching. But every day, hordes of people and their dogs come crashing through this tranquil scene. Dog owners: with their leashes, commands, and general air of Nazi kapos...and dogs:… Read full post »
the cult of the positive
It's alive and well at Open Salon. "Here is what I do, here is what I am, it's great, no criticism is justified, please let me know how great you think I am".
Sheesh. No wonder none of these people will ever get published. It's all very high school. Reminds me… Read full post »
for New Year's Eve I didn't do anything
Well ok I was on the internet. Also, I practiced my sax. I'm just a beginner but I still enjoy it. Effort put into the sax is rewarded, unlike some other activities I can think of.
My rental sax is a Unison 5200 alto, which is a Taiwanese student model.… Read full post »
well now the thing is letting me post again
For awhile I could only comment on letters, not post.
Yesterday it snowed here, which of course means big traffic jams. It took me about an hour to go a couple of miles, so I parked and had some not-so-good Chinese food at a trendy restaurant in the Pearl District.… Read full post »
maybe I will go to the mini-mart and get some ice cream
Yes I think I will.
Joan is one of my favorites
It says so over there on the sidebar. But I did not select Joan...does she use her considerable power to force people into becoming her "favorites"? Is this why she is so popular???
