And thank all you Senate Democrats.
Rahm Emanuel was right. Our economic crisis IS too good to waste and Harry Reid didn't waste a moment wasting it.
You all know what I'm talking about, don't you? Of course.
It's the two billion (aproximate) for that mag-lev rail line between Disneyland and Las Vegas. Thank you, Jesus.
Harry and his co-horts in the Senate managed to squeeze it into the stimulus bill, while Obama's back was turned. That's presidential leadership for you. The kind you can believe it.
How in hell did we live without this for so long? Harry, you will remain in my prayers until the day I die, or actually get to ride the thing, whichever comes first.
This is way better than the bridge to nowhere. At least your train goes somewhere, giving it to the taxpayers at both ends.
We can only assume that this project is shovel ready since Harry, et al, have been shovelling it to us as a stimulus bill. We've got to take them at their word. Soon, we'll be able to go from Mr. Toad's Wild Ride directly to Mr. Toad himself in Nevada.
And those spoilsports call this a Porkulus bill.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't really have a problem with the project. And I can't imagine ever using it myself. I think it's the exact opposite of the Bridge to Nowhere--it would be used by millions, right? Taking lots of folks to and from two very highly populated areas. The Bridge to Nowhere would have benefited a minuscule number of people.
You fail to see the capitalistic beauty of this arrangement. Disneyland performs well enough at extracting the stimulating consumer dollar, but it is no match for Vegas in that regard.
Combined, it is a fantastic machine for gleaning stimuli from the masses.
I have one suggestion, though. Make it one way from Disneyland to Vegas, as return trips would be filled with stimuli-dollar depleted gamblers, unable to afford the less stimulating Disneyland. They can walk.
Yet you sneer at this brilliant idea. What do you think government is, a Mickey Mouse operation?
The elephant can't pull anything. It blew its brains out in an act of conservative shame and guilt. Politicide.
I am a big tractor fan, though.
It's one thing to oppose or like the idea, it's another to open your big yap and claim I'm brainwashed for reporting what was in the Washington Post and Blake's huffpo link. It was also reported elsewhere.
How about and "I'm sorry, I was wrong."
One way, huh? Just to Vegas. I like it. The Train to Nowhere.
Blake ...
Oh, no question it's a better project than the bridge to nowhere. But right now, this is pork. The point of the stimulus bill was to get jobs going right away, or as soon as possible ... i.e., shovel ready.
Sure it'll transport people. But when? When will it be built? -- if ever. Not for a bunch of years. And we need the jobs now.
Bill ..
I'm adding "dummy" to the list of things you've called me. "Nazi, racist, fear-mongerer ... "
It's gratifying. It verifies my understanding of extreme liberal insanity.
I'll leave that alone. How about this John, you NEVER address a comment on its substance. You always look for a crack to escape. Again, the point is to spend money in the various regions. That is the infusion of cash. Calling it pork is like criticizing a lake for being wet. Now, address the POINT John. Once and for all.
Oh yeah- now you are complaining that it won't be built quickly enough. Make up your mind, buddy.
Maybe you don't understand the idea of a STIMULUS. The point of the bill was to create jobs NOW. That's how it's being sold to us. But this project DOESN'T create jobs now. That's why I object to it as part of this bill.
streeters on the last breath of the SHRUBS . Has it helped you
or me Jon , one little bit ? And now we want to spend some on the
actual country ...and that is some kind of treason ?
Might be a job at FOX waiting for ya brother
