7 dead, 20 injured in Fort Hood shooting

Rate: 2 Flag

Very sad news from Fort Hood in Texas - a shooting has taken place. As of this writing, 7 dead, 20 injured with authorties searching for the shooters.

I think I speak for everyone in saying that our thoughts are with the victims and their families.

UPDATE (1640 EST): Just read on MSNBC.com that two suspects have now been arrested , looks like they may be looking fora  third.

Yes. I've been busy having fun with being new to OS and this came in on my email. I was suddenly seized with sadness. Horrible sadness. I don't have TV by choice but I do get Breaking News. I think I'm going to unsubscribe to Breaking News because it's always Heartbreaking News. Thanks for your thoughtful post. Rated.
I do have TV and I've had this on all day. Very disturbing as always is the case.
I only just got home (in time for a phone conference then parent-teacher conference after that), and noticed comments on my twitter feed.

I haven't turned on the TV yet because I'm certain it will be too sad and aggravating to watch.

Heads up, deep thinker, you thought wrong. You don't speak for everyone. Not here, not anywhere.

My thoughts are not with the victims and families involved in this sensless killing spree. They are people who make their living on war, and live by the code of warmongers. They helped make those shooters, one insane, hateful, killing code at a time.

Those killed were trained to kill others. They were ready to kill other soldiers their country told them were their enemies, and to kill or injure innocent victims of the wars they were paid to wage. Live by the sword, die by the sword.

I say let them suffer and accept the consequences of their involvement in America's war machine. Maybe the next time someone asks them if being soldiers trained kill other human beings in the name of American imperialism is the right thing to do they'll sing a different tune.
