- Bio
- I suppose that I should give some sort of Bio - I'm a superannuated Boston transplant to the Seattle area who came out when the bottom fell out of the Telecom industry a few years back. Engineering just ain't what it used to be and it's unlikely it ever will be again. I'll get over it.
I've lived here for five years and doubt that I'll ever get used to the west coast. That may not be a bad thing.

Back in 2003, Savana Redding had a very bad day at school, you can read about it in today's NY Times . She was a 13 year-old eighth grader at the time, and it seems that one of her friends, having been caught with a couple of tabs of prescription-strength… Read full post »

We're having our first days of real summer here in Sunny Seattle, which always makes me look back to good summers in my past. There was the summer of '75, when I was working at a resort outside Yellowstone and first met my wife Karen. There was the summer… Read full post »

Being Bird-Girl” (no Arlene, your nose is not too big) and

Well, the IRS announced last week that those of us who have our tax refunds directly deposited in our accounts can expect our “stimulus package” payments shortly, while those of us who do it the old fashioned way can expect to wait a tad longer, but the check will… Read full post »
I was writing a comment to Karen Novak’s excellent blog on her health “Hello and Fit the First” and I’ll echo J.D. Black’s comment – Karen you are one of the cool kids. Julie Delio’s comment really hit a nerve. She pointed out how even with insurance, serio/… Read full post »
