Notice anything different? Well peer into the following link and look to see if there is any more clues. We all have complaints from time to time as we move forward into our future. Children are always seen as being symbolic of the future hopes of every generation.

BUT, these children have no lasting future. They are suffering from cancer, yet they fight for all thy have living positively.

These youngsters live in Aden at the entrance to the Red Sea. I know Aden well, I lived there as a teenager in the 1960's, as some of you will be aware from reading my book "From barren rocks to living stones". According to local legend, Aden is the site of the Garden of Eden. A garden that spoke of quality of life. These youngsters may not have the quantity of life, but they still are determined to have the quality of life in their garden of Eden.

One resource they look for is books to read in their language with the simplicity of a child like mind. Books just like these

Great  that Open Salon  can draw so many together who love reading, but give a thought today for these young lives that will never live to write with us. A dream has begun for a  library to be established for them. Take a look at their page in facebook. Some is in Arabic, but English is there too

Thought I would add this comment to bring it to attention, for the sake of the children.
Great Job Jon. People look at these sick kids and they don't think about where they come from, only that they need help. Why can't the adults see the same thing when they look at each other. Cancer is one thing the whole word has in common.
Hi Jon - the faces of these children tell the story of strength and courage in the face of suffering. I agree with scanner that no one on this earth is immune from the pain of cancer - thanks for sharing this.
Thank you Scanner and Dustbowldiva.

Good to have your comments, and my hope will be that others may be able to catch a vision of seeing a quality of life given to these young people.

Since putting this post here, I have found that SOME, but not all, will be able to read English as well as Arabic. I will post more as the info comes to me.
This is so powerful. Well done, Jon. I'll be right back.
It would be good if that person could release the photos to you so you could include them right in your post.
yes, you are right Zuma. The links are from the page set up for the library project. Would be good if they got some wider support.
