In general almost all the tactics and agendas of the current Obama administration have proved helpless or detrimental for the people of the USA, for the economy, the support of general decency in social life, for the support of the constitutional basic rights. He was not elected to guarantee that his policies would encourage the people who are causing the current national debacle would finance his re-election. The absolute self castration of his attempts to reign in the total idiocy of current Israeli policy on the fear that the US Jewish voters might disapprove is only further evidence he has no capacities for sensible leadership. The Republicans, on the other hand, are offering such an alternative of complete idiots as to indicate the political system is a total loss.
