What intrigues me most is the total lack of interest in discerning the real motivations behind the men who carried through the 9/11 massacre These, at least some, were not insane nor stupid people and there is no doubt they upended the whole USA weaponized with simple pocket knives. I am not trying to justify this horrific murder of so many innocents, merely trying to clarify what went through their minds. It most certainly was not an insane reaction to so-called freedoms as G.W. Bush called out, but something very important to discover. The assassination of Bin Laden has all the appearance of preventing an open trial and condemnation of his outlook such as happened at Nuremberg and openly revealed the viciousness of the Nazi regime. The quick silencing of Saddam Hussein and Qaddafi and the horror expressed about Manning's whistle-blowing also fall into the same category of silencing insights into real motivations. There is much missing from history out of these silences.
