It seemed reasonable after two early divorces that I was not suited for marriage.  I translated that into I'm not suited for relationship. Now I'm having second thoughts.

After all, what's the point of making mistakes if we don't learn from them? And, I did learn from my failed marriages. 

I learned not to so heavily lean on a partner for emotional support.

That one person can't supply all complementary interests of life.

I learned how deeply satisfying it can be to add 'like' to 'love.'

To  actually trust another person.

So why now?

Well, it's that time of year for my annual viewing of "When Harry Met Sally." 

This is not only the quientessential New York City story (which never fails to kick up my homesickness) but the perfect story of how friendship can become true love.

So, I'm thinking it over.
