I know a lot of Republicans. A few are friends. Some are family members. Others I simply observe.
These are NOT stupid people. Far from it. But there's something wrong with their inability or unwillingness to identify and support intelligent, respectable party leaders.
Starting with 43, it became obvious that these smart people were willing to be 'led' by marginal types with highly suspect agendas. Beyond the money thing, I still don't understand it. I mean - really - how much shame and wreckage can intelligent people stand in order to drive a Mercedes?
Plenty I guess.
But, now what?
Many of these same people have suffered serious encomic losses in the last five months. Yet, they stand silently by as they are represented by giggy unelected miscreant, Rush 'I-want-Obama-to-fail' Limbaugh and disgraced and disgraceful has-been Tom 'It-wasn't-George-Bush's-fault' DeLay.
'You be da man' Michael Steele and his wacko namer, Michelle Bachmann, are sliming and slurring without one solution in sight.
It's really scary. I mean, we NEED opposing voices. The Democratic agenda is FAR from perfect. But what we have on the other side is the GOP Party of Headless Horsemen. There's not a rational, unaddled brain among them. And, if I'm worried, the silent minority must be terrified. I don't know because they say not a word.
Aha - but then along comes Jonathan Krohn - the 14-year-old GOP party savior. Hallelujah! Maybe I don't have to worry after all.

As for young Jonathan Krohn - Our children change us... so maybe he can change the RNC, too.
