My favourite thought provoking post for today: SpittingKitty on health insurance. And now on to the trivial squeeing.

I am close to some (much younger) people who are in All Time Low's Australian street team. When the band came here the street team collected mash notes and got another friend of ours to make a nice book to put them in. Her covers and decorations were to die; my only contribution was to print the mash notes on coloured paper and then do the binding with a new Zutter binding machine that I had to unwrap and figure out how to use for the occasion. (We were always going to use it for some project or other and now the time had arrived.)

Well to skip right to the good part, last week in a stickam chat someone was talking to Alex Gaskarth (yes they checked and it was actually him) and mentioned this fanbook and he actually claimed to remember it. Us old girls are pretty sure the band tossed all the stuff the fans gave them into the sea somewhere between here and New Zealand (that is, pretty quickly) but at least he remembered it, and through the magic of the internet an image of it has been preserved. And if you don't know or care who Alex is, it's not a big deal, but if you do, then it is. That is all (for today).
