I'm too stunned to say much more.
they ARE winning (for the moment)
Yeah, but this is embarrassing. Don't get me wrong, I'll take the win, but it's just so sad.
eight sacks allowed

so far...
Thank you Hunter Lawrence!!!
Right, Barry? Crazy.
Holy crap! Was that a nail-biter, or what?? Damn! I need a nap.
I was keeping up with the game at a wedding. Gonna have to consult with my friends about scheduling their weddings during Texas games. I think at least one guest left early to go watch.
1 second! These guys are killing me - reminded me of the USC/Texas Rose Bowl. Aaahh!

Em, you better hope no one has anything planned on New Year's Day!
She does, but she's also the one who left early.
Close call! Your title had me laughing tho.
It's not going to happen.
McCoy somehow thinks he had 15 seconds on that last play. God must be a Texan. Nebraska kicks off out of bounds and the ball starts on the 40 and then the personal foul call (a horse collar tackle - I thought that was normal behavior in Texas) and then Colt waltzes around on the last play and Mack doesn't call a time out and afterwards they all act like they planned it that way. Only in Texas!
@ Grif - worst game clock management EVER. Obviously, I'm a Longhorns fan, but Nebraska deserved to win that game.
can't blogging about being a horns fan get you killed in sooner and cowboy country?
go easy on the offense if you haven't watched suh and grick? crick? before they're a couple of mutants. Colt is lucky he escaped with his life.
and i'm not sure that a team that didn't get a first down til the 4th quarter "deserved to win"
Yeah - that laissez faire attitude was weird. Mack was yelling to speed it up. I don't know why they didn't call time after the play before. Very bizarre.

Kressskin - Yeah, I'll take my chances with the Sooners around here. And you're right, Suh was amazing. I imagine he'll win just about every defensive award there is. Both teams fought hard and Nebraska really came to play. Both defenses worked hard tonight and in the end the kickers made the difference.
"fought hard....worked hard" setting beer down until I can write properly.
Not being a sports fan, I first thought you meant and Open Letter to Offensive Texans in general -- of which there are no small number. In which case getting their shit together is to dream the impossible dream.
do they stand a ghost's chance against Bama?
I think they do, Joe. They've had a cohesive team for four years (and beyond with Vince). I didn't like how Colt got rattled with Nebraska though. I'm hoping he'll step it up even more since he was shafted for the Heisman (it went to the 'Bama RB). I think that game brought them down a peg and they realized they can't just win every game 65-0. It better not be like the USC Rose Bowl though - my heart can't take another game like that!
Ha - Steve! This one is, but I thought I'd leave it up to remind them on the 6th. You're watching, right? With all the rest of the Sooners?
