As JK Brady wrote about, Canada recently got together and voted on a list of songs for Obama....But I felt we should at least have one for President Bush. Back in the 80s, when video was first starting out, Mitsou was Quebec's answer to Madonna. Here she is with her imcomparable hit, Bye, Bye Mon Cowboy.
Update: Just read Beth Mann's awesome post on vintage videos. And felt compelled to add that there are two versions of this video, an 80s one and a 90s one. Originally I posted the 80s one (below), because I actually like it better. I like her natural attention-whore exuberance. But then I changed it to the 90s one (above) because I couldn't resist the Obama-esque cowboy. Now, I know Mitsou isn't a great example of musical genius (and in the end it didn't matter, since only nostalgic Canadians showed up to this post, anyways.) But here she is once again in ALL her vintage glory.
